Rama Lake
Rama Lake is one of the most famous lakes in Pakistan, located near the Astor Valley in Gilgit, Baltistan, Pakistan. The lake is located on top of the beautiful valley of Astor, surrounded by lush green and oak trees. The valley is densely forested with large pine, pine, juniper and fur trees. The valley is about 33,300 meters above sea level and is covered with snow for about 7-8 months of the year. While the valley is lush and lush during the summer, it is the most favorable for local shepherds. There are three lakes in the local Shena language on the way from Astor Valley to Rama Lake Valley.
Location & Attraction
The lake is located in the Chaugra Valley. It takes half an hour to reach this lake. It’s located in the northern part of Astor, about 9 km from the beautiful valley. It is a very beautiful place, the surrounding alpine forest also gives a very pleasant atmosphere. There are many routes for hiking and trekking and some of these tracks are perfect for jeep safaris.
PTDC Motel
PTDC’s newly built motel in Ram Town is a welcome addition as a major tourist destination. Due to its bizarre location, it can easily serve as a base camp for trekkers and climbers with the intention of measuring the strong heights of Nanga Parbat.
The motel is a beautiful tourist complex with 12 nice, comfortable rooms, lounges and a restaurant serving oriental and continental cuisine. There are also camping, rented jeeps, telephone, satellite TV and laundry facilities. Rama Lake Motel is located 120 km from Gilgit, where regular transport services are available for rent.
